1. The short version

You buy our cat costume, we ship it, your cat judges it. If something's wrong, we make it right — 30-day returns, no drama. The detailed terms below cover the legal edges of that arrangement.

2. Who these terms apply to

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of petipede.com and any purchase made through it. By placing an order or using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the store.

3. Products & availability

Petipede sells one thing: the Petipede Centipede Cat Costume, in two colorways (Red and Gold), in one adjustable size designed for cats roughly 6–18 lb. We work hard to display colors and details accurately, but screens vary and each costume is sewn by hand, so minor variations are part of the deal.

We may change, discontinue, or limit quantities of any product at any time. If an item you ordered becomes unavailable, we will notify you and refund you in full.

4. Pricing & payment

Prices are shown in US dollars. The costume costs $35, with free shipping on all US orders. International orders are welcome; shipping fees for destinations outside the US are calculated at checkout, and any customs duties or import taxes are the customer's responsibility.

Payments are processed securely by our checkout provider (Shopify). We never see or store your full card details. Prices are subject to change; you always pay the price shown at the moment you check out.

5. Shipping

US orders ship free and leave our facility in Portland, OR within 1–2 business days. Delivery times vary by carrier and destination and are estimates, not guarantees.

International orders ship with calculated rates shown at checkout. We are not responsible for delays caused by customs, carriers, or weather, but we will always help you chase a package down — email support@petipede.com.

6. Returns & refunds

We offer 30-day returns, even if the costume has been worn once. To start a return, email support@petipede.com with your order number. Returned items should include all parts and packaging where possible. Refunds are issued to your original payment method once the return arrives.

If your costume arrives damaged or defective, tell us within 30 days and we'll send a replacement or a full refund — your choice — and cover the return shipping.

7. Fit & pet safety

The Petipede costume is designed around how cats actually move: a two-step wrap (fasten the neck, wrap the waist) with no pulling over legs. It fits cats measuring Head 9.1"–11.4", Neck 6.3"–8.7", Chest 11"–15.4", and Waist 12.6"–17.3". Please measure your cat and review our fit guide before ordering.

Costumes are for supervised wear only. Never leave a cat unattended in a costume, and remove it immediately if your cat shows distress. Petipede is not liable for injuries arising from unsupervised or improper use.

8. Accounts & acceptable use

You may use the store only for lawful purposes. You agree not to misuse the site — including attempting to interfere with its operation, scraping it at scale, or placing fraudulent orders.

9. Intellectual property

The Petipede name, wordmark, costume design, product photography, and site content are owned by Petipede and may not be copied or reused commercially without written permission. Sharing photos of your cat in the costume is not only allowed but actively encouraged.

10. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The site and products are provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, Petipede disclaims all implied warranties and our total liability for any claim relating to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for the product. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts located in Multnomah County, Oregon, unless applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
